He Will Not Forget Me

At the end of Job's ordeal, God rebuked his three friends for speaking wrongly about him. But out of mercy, God accepted their sacrifice through Job’s intercession. Subsequently, God restored Job’s life and blessed him greatly, giving him far more than he had lost. Job was blessed with many descendants and lived a long, full life.
We might pause here to reflect. What if the story ended without God restoring Job’s life? That would still be a powerful story. It would make us think deeply about suffering, faith, and eternity. But we might still wonder, “Was that fair for Job?” or “What will be his reward in heaven?” These are things we cannot fully understand in this life.
The happy ending of Job’s story is not just comforting. It shows clearly that God did not forget Job. He does not forget those who trust him. What God allows us to lose; he is able to restore in his perfect timing. God gave Job back his health and wealth not because he owed him anything, but to show us his grace and righteousness. We do not have to wonder, God has made it clear through Job’s story.
But it is also true that not every believer will be like Job. Some people trust God and still suffer until the end of their lives. That does not mean God has forgotten them. Our greater hope is in Jesus. Like Job, Jesus suffered even though he was innocent. But unlike Job, Jesus died for our sins and rose again. Through him, we are promised a full and final restoration, forever with God.
This reminds us that even when we feel lost or hurt, God is faithful. His grace never changes. His grace is not measured by our comfort but by his presence with us. He is with us in Christ forever. He never forgets His children.
Prayer :
Dear Father, thank you for your faithfulness and grace. Even in the midst of suffering, you are still in control and never forget us. Please help us to trust you in our waiting and give thanks in our blessings. In the name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.
